That said, I did go Dirge so there's room for variance. Once you play bard you can tell it Azata was built for bard :p
That being said, casters are probably a good choice. The Azata favorable magic superpower lets you overcome spell resistance easily, and applies more damage even if they save.
However, I am personally a fan of going SKALD, myself. Makes the whole Elysium thing seem more like a Valhalla paradise, than magic butterfly garden.
Aeon. Support caster of any type divine or arcane. Also inquisitor mixes well the ability’s.
Demonslayer Ranger, of course, cause what else would you do? Leopard Bully Companion to trip the ♥♥♥♥ out of enemies early game and tank.
For both Hunter seems excellent too. Divine Hound for Aeon path seems making sense - the one which has judgements stuff like inquisitor.
Lorewise I would think
Aeon fits Hellknight, Druid, Monk and Inquisitor best
while
Azata fits Bard, Hunter, Rogue and maybe Witch
Skald, too.
Skald is essentially a Barbarian + Bard hybrid, and when I tried to play one, I got some unique dialog options that I thought were exclusive to Bards.
Such as being able to have a performance contest with one of the Desnans in Daeren's manor.
Oh! That sounds utmost interesting! I will keep that in mind for a future playthrough. I am already in awe how some special dialogue option appears depending on the chosen deity.
