Game Taking Too Long To Load In

Just hit a bug recently, where my game can't load me entering a new area, or a crusader battle. It goes to the loading screen, but then ticks up 1% at a time. And when it finally reaches 100, it just kind of sits there.

I can reload my save and go back to the world map if i quit out of the game, but I can't visit anywhere, or do any sort of crusade battles other than auto resolve.

Anybody know what the problem might be? I'm playing Azata path.

someone wrote about deleting everything from the following folder EXCEPT the portraits and the saves. (make a backup of the whole folder to be safe)

*:\Users\***\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous\

this is supposed to fix it.

why would i suggest you make a backup before that then?
there has just been a 9mb patch, maybe it fixes your issues without having to do this. maybe not.

Well, the folder you listed isn't specified. You just stopped it at Wrath Of The Righteous.

Which basically looks like you want me to delete the game completely, as a way of 'fixing' the long load times.

you do realize, that in that folder there are only saves, logs and pictures.. the actual game files is in your steam commonaps directory.

I had the same problem just a few minutes and in the other thread i got a fix and the cause ( at least for me)

If you killed a certain companion, in an abandond building in Drezen and looted everything, this caused the bug. you have to leave 1 item in the corpes

i did kill and loot everything, but i dont experience ultra long loading times, guess im lucky

The reply to the original poster is not helpful. It is not up to us to fix owlcat's mistake they are ignoring. Many of us can't play now and owlcat is still working on "other things". In addition, how in the hell are we supposed to know to leave an item on Camillia to prevent this game breaking and horribly critical bug. I guess the only way to play this game is through thorough meta knowledge and incessant save scumming.

I feel you, your complain against Owlcat is understandable. But why is it not a helpful reply?
We try to find a cause and a fix, many people come together to get an answer and we provide. If the Developer is not fast enough, the community can help. If the problem still persists than just tell and others can chime in.

does it have to happen (bugs)? no of course not. Imo they should have delayed the release for at least 2-3 month and gather more bug reports but i guess they decided its for the best to release it anyway, most reasons is money or deadlines they strictly uphold (investors etc.). But this is another topic...

It seems to be a recent bug that was introduced with the newer patches. I already had 2 previous attempts at the game (Dragon and Lich) which looted everything in Drezen and managed to get to chapter 5 without any load time problems.

Sadly, they had other problems, which caused me to restart my playthrough.

Damn I have this same issue, did the thing with that companion, but i dont have any earlier saves. Guess I'm screwed

Do you have any mods installed. I notice i had this same problem with most recent patch and these 2 mods, I found with current version of game. Table top Tweaks 1.5.1 and toybox 1.3.19 is stable. If I have any of the new updates with those two mods. I get freezing on loading and other game bugs. The new version of those mods seem stable with previous patch of the actual game.
