Before you say something else stupid, look at the titles that I own and it makes your comment that much more pitiful.
Why would I want to play a sorry a** clone of a game when I can play a game that's specifically designed for it and is likely to be much better instead? I already own multiple games of this genre. I don't NEED a gears clone of it and I'm not even remotely interested in that.
You really think they are just gonna show us a trailer from Gears 6 short after Gears 5? It takes atleast a year to even have a small teaser trailer to show us and ALLOT of work to even get a concept for the game and how the story shall go etc.
They showed us a teaser of gears tactics 1 year ago at the same time they showed us Gears 5.
Its cool that they try a new twist of the classic gears game that we all love. im very excited to see the story behind this game.
There are probably elements in this game that only works well in this genre and not very well executed in the classic gears style we love.
Think the prize is a bit too much for this type of game, but if the campaign is 40+ hours long, then it might be worth it depending on how good the features that keep players playing this game.
Just gotta wait and see how this game gonna turn out to be. Might be a very good game or a terrible game.
How was that a contradiction? I said I don't want a clone of a genre that I already have and I'm not interested in the gears clone at all. Do you know english?
Even if they implement it well, it's hardly going to be better than games that have already mastered this concept, at that point it's just a skin/clone. That's the BEST case scenario.
Say what you will, but thematically a XCOM version of Gears fits perfectly. I'm sure a lot of people said why make Halo Wars, Halo is FPS! But both Halo Wars 1 and 2 did well for themselves.
