How to defeat the Corpser...
...you've probably all beat the game multiple times, what worked best for you to defeat the Corpser. I mean, i could do it if it weren't for the nasty waves of reinforcements.

What is your best advise? What would you focus on?

Beat the game only once, but the corpser is probably the most memorable level for me.

sniper is your primary damage dealer here, preferably with a build that gives action points on hit, or a high crit one.
forget about machinegunners cause you have to be on the move constantly.

planting a grenade on an incoming reinforcement location will immediately close it during the enemy turn.

it's very doable. good luck!

a proximity mine dropped on an enemy dropzone could work, but is there a way to shut down E-Holes before they pop up? There's always a first wave with a nasty Boomer.

A grenade does nothing for me on an emerging E-Hole. proximity mines didn't do anything to a Boomer either. I didn't even figure out so far how to blow it back into the hole, as it emerges on various exitpoints of the E-hole. I'm referencing an observation i made during an earlier mission, where a Heavy on overwatch blew a Drone back into an E-Hole with a round from its Mulcher. I thought of reproducing this effect on the Boomer, so far to no success.

Advise? Suggestions?

Yes you plant a mine at the center of the E hole before it opens. You need at least 3 AP, 1 to go to the center, 1 to plant the grenade, 1 to exit the explosion radius.

well that SHOULD work. a mine placed on an upcoming e-hole should close it as soon as it opens.

if you do have to deal with boomers, snipers and scouts are the best damage dealers and can dispatch them in one turn with a proper build. I do recommend giving your support the free AP ability to give other units.

Also Jack and snipers have abilities that prevent enemies from firing

Also, proximity mine on a closed E-Hole works wonders... no need to use 3 AP if you have a scout ready!

Proximity mines shut down e-holes before they open, best way to deal with them, absolutely must have on insane difficulty.
Hunter specced sniper is main DPS in this fight ( in any boss fight realy). I usualy open first shell with grenades. Later on there is no realy poiint to beat on shell, use that turn to deal with adds.
I open boss fights with Gabe (paragon specc) doing lock and load and burst boss as much as i can. Give empower to Mikayla so she can hit more.
I never had trouble dealing with boomer. Sniper works best but rest can deal with it too. IF its trouble and you are in jacked campaign you can use shock to stun him

Thanks to your valuable advise i was able to surpass the Corpser.

Once you know about how to close these eholes in time you're fine.

Having a Heavy helps a lot, since Redeploy still allows you to lay and throw grenades. You hit redeploy for +3 AP, walk to an ehole, plant a mine, move out, and you don't even lose your anchor stacks. Have your heavy by herself on one side and bunch your other units together and the corpser will focus its tentacle slaps on your main group so your heavy doesn't have to move very much, just keep firing and building up Heat Up and anchor stacks.
