Constantly stuck on "Enemy Turn". Need Help!

It is very frustrating for me where I get random moments where the game decide to freeze on me during the "Enemy Turn" phase. Making matters worst, you can't manual save so I get booted back to the earlier checkpoint even though I have maybe like 2 or 3 more enemies to beat to finish that stage.

I thought it was only for one or two mission, but it happens randomly and I have passed the 2 hour mark. Steam won't even let me refund the game. Is so broken for me I can't enjoy it much.

Any advise or help anyone can give? Please!

did you try restarting the checkpoint or the mission?

I basically restart the whole game, the frustrating part is that there is no manual save. So even if I am close to completing the battle, I am forced to restart all the way from the checkpoint again which is extremely frustrating. Making the game almost unplayable for me. :(

Sorry your having so much trouble JackMaestro I am out of sugestions except maybe an uninstall/reinstall that or log out and then back in xbox account.

This just happened to me in the final battle, which is painstakingly long. I finally got the main boss almost dead, and game freezes. AGR.

I've got this problem few times and, as much I can see, it always happens when I use Jack mine... it's annoying, because it's a useful skill, but try to do not use it and see if you've got the same issue.

can relate. i've only played the first few missions and already had various issues similar to this. 1 turn from completing the mission, but can't because its the enemy turn. and the enemies don't do a thing. It's a fun game, but things like this make it just unplayable for me. I mean if it happens once or twice its not a big deal to restart the entire game and resume from the last checkpoint. However it occurs too frequently that it becomes very frustrating.

I've had this issue twice now. Didn't appear until Chapter 2 so may be related to specific skill usage as someone else mentioned. I have Jack specced for the aggro mine. It's happened once during overwatch on a Disciple and once with a Kantus buffing some Tickers?

Is there any prospect of this gettong bug fixed or is the game unsupported now? Shame because its my first Gears game and I've enjoyed it a lot as an alternative to XCOM etc.

I've done this on final mission 4x now it it just keeps happening at some point during the final boss mission and so damn frustrated!

Yep, happened to me just now during the final boss fight on ironman. Guess I need to change my review for the game.
