Ask for a refund. I spent hours trying to get the game running before resorting to a refund. No amount of removing Windows credentials or uninstalling-reinstalling helped.

You shouldn't buy games published by microsoft period.

I had the same problem with another game punished by them.

So now,I'm never buying a microsoft published game (xbox) ever again. I suggest you do the same.

Took several tries but it logged in eventually. Not like I've never had issues with other platforms that need a log in after starting a game on Steam... so it's really not that big of a deal for me. Deal breaker for some, though, for sure.
