Higher Resolution
Dear Dev, please consider updating development tools for this one shouldn't you have done so already. Consider switching to a newer version of RPG Maker or whatever you need to develop your game. I'm sure it's not that different or much harder. (Referencing an argument I had with some people on the Finding Paradise forums about it being too hard.)

Your games are wonderful but it's simply unacceptable releasing a game in a sub-720p resolution in this day and age. Many people have 4k monitors, no alternative and playing your game(s) on those is really straining and is hindering the overall experience.

So please, for the sake of your fans and the future development of your games, accept this proposal or at least let us know what the current situation with this issue is.

I agree, it's long overdue! We've actually been working with a different engine for the past year, but it is for a future project, because there is a tremendous amount of foundation work we need to put into preparing the tools for it in order to make things naturally with the same feeling of the previous games. That's been coming along really nicely.

In the mean time, for this game (possibly the last of its kind in some way), we do have a work around -- there is a different engine, MKXP, that the game alternatively runs through that is much sleeker than RPG Maker. You could actually already try it by opting into the -alternative beta build in both To the Moon and Finding Paradise, and my hope is that this game will have that engine's version as the default build. c:

Sounds great! Thanks so much for clarifying, now I can wholeheartedly look forward to the new game!

Bit of a necro, thought I'd add:
The game is currently listed as "not compatible with mac os catalina". This is probably because the old engine creates 32 bit applications only, please do update to 64 bit.
(if I'd have to guess 64b is probably the default in more modern engines)

Yes please. I was playing To the moon today again, captured the screen and this is what I got: https://i.imgur.com/ljJ1LPE.png
