Even for free, it's not worth it.
Like, this is a game that even LiS fans are calling boring... and this one is very pushy about certain things on top of that(Guess why it's free during June?).

It's the kind of game I'd only consider playing if I was paid for every minute subjecting myself to it XD

Somebody posted about it in a Discord and I'm all about free games so I naturally I went to check it out.

Granted, it's not my normal cup of tea when it comes to games but I've been wanting to try out new things. That said, when the reviews you show in your trailer are "an engrossing narrative adventure that pushes inclusivity to the forefront" and "a new benchmark for queer representation in the blockbuster space", it doesn't exactly instill a lot of faith.

But when you say something like that, you get labeled a homophobe and/or a troll, despite those things being repeat offenders for killing good writing.

When your selling point is "hey, look, gay/trans/whatever characters", it's a big red flag that you most likely don't have a story or decent characters.

And yes, that works the same way when the other side comes out and says "hey, look, I have a strong white male as the main character and he's a real hero like they used to be."

They're both an insult to writing.

It could be good for all I know, but even for $0 I can't see myself giving it a go after that trailer as well as some of the reviews.

projecting much?
unlike you, I can have my own opinion and I have what it takes to defend it.
game story is pathetic and portrays trans people as psychos.
take it or leave.

No, Kitty. You don't have the opinion.

It is not the freedom of speech and your democratic rights that decide over what is an opinion. It is a matter of a generally accepted definition.

By that definition, you don't have an opinion, you just have a belief, because...

A fact is verifiable.
An opinion is a judgment based on facts.
A belief is a conviction based on cultural or personal faith, morality, or values.
Prejudice, a half-baked opinion based on insufficient or unexamined evidence.

A fact is an indisputable observation of a natural or social phenomenon.

A fact is an occurrence in the real world. A thing that is indisputably the case. Something that has actual existence. A truth verifiable from experience or observation.

stop typing words you saw somewhere if you don't know the meaning of the phrase.

so true. it's not a one sided thing (aka I dislike because I can't stand certain social groups) but it's rather a request for good solid story, well written characters.
too bad this point is hard to get across as many people take it too personally or look for hidden motives.
story has to be reasonable, characters have to have depth, personality.
also if we should command a character, make choices, we need a way to relate to that character, feel the connection.

Qiana's statement was correct, and you are still wrong, even though you are incapable of realizing it. Loving school doesn't mean you've learned anything.

Unfortunately, it won't help you understand better or be right. 😉

The graphics, UI, audio/music are all really good, it starts out really strong. But I can't with it, the game gives you options to select what to say but it always seems to end in an argument of some sort, the plot drags on, and parts where there are action of some sort are too short. I wouldn't recommend, though its probably good for someone. I just can't make it through the first chapter as I got bored, the dialogue portions last too long and I find myself losing interest. I enjoyed the game up until actually entering the house then it just seemed to drag on. I give it a 5/10 because other than the storyline, I like everything else about it, just not for me.

Huh. I'm in the house myself and haven't argued with anyone. Even had a nice chat with the guy on the boat. I did assume the other options might not have gone as well there. The house has been good so far. As an abused child myself I can relate to having both good and bad memories of a parent. No one is actually an all bad villain. I'd probably be past the house by now but I'm a busy body and need to see and read everything so I've been busy reading the kids story book. Which is pretty cool The goblins are obviously the twins and princess the mom and bear the "uncle" etc. It's interesting to imagine the real life situations these fantasized versions are inspired from.

yeah I played it on game pass and it wasn't great. stoty was really weak compared to other dontnod games I've played. in the life is strange games you're trying to save yourself, save your friends, save your town, etc. in tell me why, you're 2 people trying to... remember things from your childhood

I remember i did get this by mistake last year . Now it's free again, and it seems it's free every june. 2 possible reasons. They got the money they set out to get and now they don't care anymore, or it flopped hard and again, they don't care anymore . And i totally agree with that, people should get paid to play this.

“So this is hell. I’d never have believed it. You remember all we were told about the torture-chambers, the fire and brimstone, the ”burning marl.” Old wives’ tales! There’s no need for red-hot pokers. Hell is—other people!” (from No Exit, by Jean-Paul Sartre)

one reason: xbox takes to heart the issue of marginalized minorities and they need something to show for it. if you'll check game graph it goes free every year on pride month. it's a strategy and it seems like it started right away.
have you checked xbox games lately? they dropped another trailer for Fable.
