This game just dissappeared from Turkish store. I got it, liked it, recommended it to my friend but now she can't play it. Why is this happened?

I too think it is due to the LGBT theme of the game, though if that was the case, why was it up on those stores in the first place? One would think that they would have knew of the LGBT content before having it in their regions' storefronts.

There are no anti LGBT+ laws in Turkey, it's not illegal, and we have many LGBT+ celebs, some of them are trans as well. The Last of Us 2 and all others are available. It's not due to the country's laws, it's probably due to Microsoft's decision. So far something like that never happened here.

i think it is not available because it is free to get now, but not for some other countries. after june, they will sell it again with a price.

Maybe it´s only free for all non homophobic/trans countries? just a guess.

This is publisher decision, this is not goverments restriction. "non homophobic/trans countries" is myth.
and You can get game with VPN without problems.

Actually not. Publisher (== Microsoft) does not control Steam Store or the regional availability; a distributor (== Valve/ Steam) does.

The publisher puts the game in the distributors store and the distributor regulates the regional availability further.

And yes, it is a government restriction ... it just uses "mafia and politics principles" ...

Some things are not directly prohibited, but only undesirable ... Who does not obey and does not respect this "undesirable", will discover the power of administration at some future point in time.

ALL "App Store"-s do that — be it Apple, EA, Epic, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Steam ... you name it.

Using a proxy or VPN to disguise your location is strictly against the Steam Terms of Service and may result in permanent ban of your Steam account.

Stop using Steam and buy your games on GoG if the region lock is the issue for you.

Actualy yes. Publisher (== Microsoft) ban game in the Microsoft Store, too.
A distributor (== Valve/ Steam) dont set these restrictions. And goverment dont set these too.
