You meant is there anything better than this weapon? Answer is, there is nothing better for pve. Just get two extra magazines (71 bullets kind).

2 mags? Get extra 5 mags and maybe see from there if you need more. With only 2 mags you will be reloading after every mutant encounter. I got 12 mags of it for farming slow fiends/fast fiends at vesuvius. My first 3 row in inventory is all ppsh drum mags.

It's a good monster hunting gun. It's not great for pvp. But it's good for hunting and cave runs.

I tried ppsh-41 and kept it for a long time, then i tried Sayga and to be honest i liked it more for hunting and cheaper ammo, faster kill ...but if you have low money...then ppsh is great to start with :)
Thanks

After reading this post, I sold my ppsh and 12 clips of 71 rounds drum and bought sayga and 6 clips of 8 rounds mag and It is awesome!. The downside is I used to run around with 2.4k to 3k of hollowpoint because I need more than 800 bullets to reload all my drum mags after I used them all, with Sayga, I can only carry 1000 12mm/76 shells in place of 3000 7.62x25 hollowpoints because the bullet are very heavy but it is a nice tradeoff.

Sayga is way more op than ppsh, I got 5 adult dogs rushing at me in a straight line and 2 shot killed them all. I have 4 young boars in the same spot at lubech surroundings during offpeak hours and 2 shot to the butt killed all of them. If a boar charge me headfirst, 2 to 3 shots at most. The 12/76 shell is way stronger than 12/70 shell. Have not tried farming fast demon at vesuvius yet but I am guessing the spread damage and multi hit ability will be alot better when I have more of them in 1 spot and the ammo is so cheap and I dont have to spend such a long time reloading all those ppsh drum mags so he is right, you kill things faster and cheaper ammo for sayga. I have not tried defending against a bear. I will try it later and post my findings here how it compare to ppsh.
