Am I crazy, or do some of the demons have more health in Marathon Mode?
I first noticed this during the Amy boss fight. When I play the chapter normally or fight Amy in Survival Mode, I can easily finish the first phase before the gray demons even appear, but in Marathon Mode, it always takes much longer to do and I end up having to contend with the gray demons. It also felt like the painting in Chapter II (the one in the dark room with the cultists that hate the flashlight) took way longer to exorcise than it should have.

For the ch2 portrait, this is a long-standing issue with the game from what I noticed. It's not that it has more HP, but instead you have to raise the cross at it continuously. And this also affects more than just the portrait. There's this weird issue where every time you release the cross from an object, it "resets" that object. So for example, if an object takes 3 seconds time with the cross to be exorcised and you let go before it's exorcised, when you try again you have to go the full 3 seconds again.
the damage you do scales with the notes youve collected

Has that been proven? What if it's just placebo? I've watched speedruns of marathon mode Good Christian Boy and they seem to kill bosses just as fast without picking up a single note.

I'd actually really like if the dev would confirm once and for all if collecting notes actually affects gameplay or not.

The damage only seems to scale higher with notes in chapter one. It's definitely not worth it doing speed runs to grab notes, but otherwise it can be quite helpful in Chapter 1.

This wasn't mentioned, but another thing is that the final boss in Chapter 2 will take less damage to kill in phase 3 the more damage that's done to it in phase one.

In Chapter 1, collecting certain notes, makes Amy have less HP, and moves slower. I looked it up one time when I was doing the lux/latern achievements. It's certain number notes but the more notes you collect, up to 11 of em(i forgot how many are in chapter 1) but certain ones do make her have less HP and she moves slower in all phases. You still only do like 5-15 damage to her.
