Since YouTube is more interested in pandering to the whims of corporations rather than taking care of its creator base, I decided to change the main menu music for something that was without a doubt public domain, rather than leave creators to have to dispute existing and future copyright claims.
Is there any chance you can set a "streamer mode" that changes the music? Or at least include the original in the soundtrack? I noticed it was changed there too.
Is it because I've bought the soundtrack and those are overriding the main menu music, or has there been an update that I didn't recognize?
I could be mistaken, but I believe the update that came out the other day changed the music to Eventide. At least that's when I noticed the change.
Could there be a streamer mode? It feels really crappy as someone whos liked this game since it first came out. I feel super nostalgic over the Near The Cross rendition. Faith was the first ever "Indie" game i bought, the first game in itchi i eve bought. it feels equally crappy non content creators are getting a changed version with no say. I'd really wish if you could reconsider this and put back in the game somehow. I love the games and i love your work.
I understand your frustrations, but it would be nice to see Near the Cross returned in a future update. To me it is the one-and-only "Faith theme"
Great ideia! Give us the option to change the music. The game isn't the same without "Near of the Cross" playing on the menu.
by Airdorf. When you load the game you are greeted to the song playing, you can then select how to play and you are given a fun wholesome lesson of picking up apples and reading bible quotes. your then taught how to cast how demons and said demons are portrayed as the most typical and cartoonish devil horned demons and the whole time you have the upbeat hopeful near the cross playing. Reality comes crashing down on you like a brick when the much more foreboding moonlight sonata starts playing and you see the true nature of the game and the creature. I went in totally blind to this game and that was my experience and it just felt so intentional, it was genius.
on that same note though its a superb overarching theme for all 3 games. It depends on your interpretation of the story and events but theres something admirable? poetic? about a man totally out of his depth facing creatures beyond our understanding and doing so with nothing but a dinky little a cross, his faith and the hymn near the cross.
Maybe im reading way to far into all of this and Airdorf just threw in some songs with no real meaning for the original game but to me it felt very intentional.
I really hope we get a return of the title theme when things blow over. its just not faith without it. the very first thing i did when getting this collection was going into the how to play and getting into the mood before i started chapter 3.
