Getting back intel sharing
So, I finally had HF getting somewhere taking over Russia after some serious poking and prodding. But even though I was sharing intel with HF, and they had two of four points while I had the Exec, and that I had in fact clicked on the Servant held slot, the game decided to just set the default point to crackdown as one of the HF held points. Which I then stomped in a glorious 95% roll, something I excel at missing FYI, and that's when I realized what I accidentally did. And then they Servants bumrushed the two HF slots.

So naturally I lost intel sharing, why wouldn't they be pissed? But a year later and they I still don't have the option to have peace talks let alone more intel sharing.

My question is: When if ever can I share intel with them again?
Edit: I've been giving them resources and tech like mad, to the point of tolerance for many moons now.

Also, game, why in the flying ♥♥♥♥ would you default to targeting friendlies and not enemies???? After a year trying to clean up my mess I'm reallllly wishing I'd just loaded a save.

Once you grow too powerful it becomes impossible to get back to NAP/Intel Sharing because you are just such a dominant faction. Those treaties wont be broken by your buddy faction but those who are more distant from your faction will eventually break them anyway. You could abandon every nation you have and as long as your space presence is weak enough, HF might even accept forming new treaties with you.

And yeah, clicking on tasks too quickly is a lesson everyone learns at one point. I always double check the target of Crackdowns/Purges just to be sure.

There is no such thing as a "friendly". No faction is ever friends, which is why there are no alliances and the best they will ever be is "tolerant". In the end every faction's goals are mutually exclusive except for perhaps Exodus, and there are no shared victories. Every faction inevitably hates the dominant one unless you are very close on the ideological matrix and on normal difficulty. And no one will work with the dominant faction.
