Worth playing?

I stopped playing in 2023 because it was very boring, repetitive, and slow. Has the game improved since then or do i give up

The game has improved, but if those were your reasons, you'll probably encounter them again. There is an accelerated campaign mode that shortens the timeline/increases production/research/investments, but it's still the same game. So likely better luck with your next games, I suppose.

Repetitive and Slow? Yes - there is a huge gap between us and aliens to overcome. Well, and game is overall more like Paradox's Grand Strategy so isn't suited for a quickie session play. Still you can win around 2040.

Boring? You can go total war with aliens since 2027-28. That's anything but 'boring'.

all depend on your strategy on how you play.
if you are just going to be one of those folks who spin the globe around on fast speed waiting for research to complete you will find it boring and eventually lose.
if you active work to move agents around surveilling and trying to hamper you opponent factions you will keep having things to do and grow stronger compared to them for the most part..
