EXODUS STORYLINE MISSION BUGGED
In my current game, I've already finished researching both "A New Home" and "The Great Journey Ahead", both storyline missions for Exodus. But.. I did those BEFORE I finished interrogating the Hydra. Unfortunately, after finally interrogating the Hydra, the "A New Home" objective shows up. What do I do? Is there a way to mark this objective done elsewhere so I don't have to give up this save game?

hi! I had the same bug and got around this by editing the savegame and re-adding the projects to my list even though I researched them and it worked! There are guides on how to edit savegames on here, so I'll be brief - first, always make backups! In short - in game settings unclick compressed save files, note your resources, then save; the savegame is editable in notedpad++, open it in the folder C:\Users\*YOURUSERNAMEHERE*\Documents\My Games\TerraInvicta\Saves, search for resources a couple of times (ctrl+f) and underneath the resources/incomes you'll find a list of active projects and add their technical name into the list of researchable projects there (be careful with project technical names - they can be found in the your steam installation/steamapps/commom/game folder/TerraInvicta_Data/StreamingAssets/Templates - file is TIProjectTemplate, openable in Notepad++, search for project names and find the technical name - it is similar to the displayed name but sligltly different. After you added the projects - watch out for the spelling and quotations marks/commas...load game and try it out...if you are satisfied then you can change the settings to compressed saves again (compressed and uncompressed cannot be loaded at the same time)

Add both projects and research in sequence/after objectives trigger. I've played around with this for modding and works like a charm...seems complex but really takes around 5 mins...any any equivalent to notepad++ will work, even wordpad/notepad but notepad++ is better for changes/highlights this in colour etc...not strictly necessary though

I had the same ish issue but at the next step of Exodus (seems it has zero checks if you've done things ahead of time or out of a specific order) and my solution was a little more dumb/brute force than the above solution. Still a save file edit though just a bit less complex. I just searched for the project that it was saying I needed to complete (that I had already completed) by name in the save file and found it in a list of completed projects and just, deleted that line. Loaded that save back up and re-researched it when it popped back up (It took a while for it to become researchable like normal).

I'm not sure about the other campaigns but Exodus' is a buggy mess because you can do things in such a 'wrong' order that the game gets confused.

You can just build another telescope to get the "A New Home" project again

Thanks! Editing the save file did the trick. I could have simply marked the objective complete, but I wasn't sure how the correct mission progression would go. At the same time, I didn't want my previous research time to go to waste. So in addition to adding New Home to the list of researchable projects, I also added an entry for research progress and gave it the required points for research progress.

nice one! :D didn't occur to me to try this as I was afraid to break something but your solution is simpler and easier to do :) will remember for modding :)
