This forces you to steal projects from other factions. Very late-game there are 'future tech' projects you can run repeatedly to reroll missing techs (although realistically it'll be much too late by then)
Only know that 'contributing more' to globalxtech ups my odds of getting a faction project unlocked by the tech faster(but what is the difference between 0%, 10, 50, 90%?) What about projects that need more than one tech?
Honestly. Game already have great Codex and provide tons and tons of information to you. I guess players get used to cheap mobile games >_<
In-game documentation can do the job. The Terra Invicta codex doesn't. It's got a decent selection of entries, but places that need a page of details have two sentences of handwaving.
Yes, spoiled on mobile games like CK 2 and 3. You know, games(well ck 3 at least) actually decent 'codex' type deals.
Don't get me wrong, I love that they have a codex, and I'm looking forward to the day out of early access when it is (hopefully) almost a full on wiki with all the information and numbers I could want...
We also back in the does of no(or just dial up) internet, usually didn't have access to literally ever game in the world, you played the ♥♥♥♥ out of one game at a time, even if they weren't good, because you didn't have another you hand't already played to death and past.
This game is great so far, I want to understand it better, and there is so much going on, I wouldn't complain if I didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about it, hell, most of what it needs is better information available to us, and a polished interface.
I can look past a lot of rough edges to play the game, that doesn't mean I won't complain about things that need to be fixed or explained better, because once thats handled, it will just be great, instead of great with lots of rough edges.
Advice own tooltip is precise AFAIK. So it's EA issues - some things'd changed from Alpha and devs don't updated it. That's fine while they're often realeasing new patches.
