The Servants
So, playing as the Servants what is the big challenge? With the other factions I have tried it is the aliens that cause you the most grief. Do the aliens still smack you around even though you support them? Do they run into the MC anger limit maybe?

And how about the Protectorate?

Playing as Servants makes things much easier. The aliens seem to leave your bases and ships alone, although I suppose you could attack them if you wanted to. Hydra agents doing their thing can take control over countries owned by other factions and turn them over to you. Although you'll have to hand some of your countries back to form the Alien Nation, once you get far enough through your faction goals.

On the other hand, the anti-alien factions like HF and Resistance will target your countries and councilors aggressively. Expect them to keep trying to assassinate or turn your dudes, so you need to invest in Espionage and use Go To Ground more often.

The pro alien factions is basically easy mode. Probably a good way to test out most of the game's systems without worrying about the alien doom.

I completed a game with the Servants, so I feel qualified to reply.

The aliens do not have any anger towards the Servants (the anger gague never shows when playing the Servants) and also never attack them. The aliens actually actively give you CPs (relatively randomly) and later, when you researched the talking to the Hydras they actively support you with resources.

As soon as you have the Alien Nation in play, the Aliens give the Servants all the MC, since they don't need it at all.

The only challenge was the last part, to get the Alien Nation big enough, since the aliens are super aggressive and the Alien Nation kept getting wiped out by revolutions. I fixed that by using 4 councilors on constant revolt reduction duty until the Alien Nation is so big, that there is not much unrest gain from adding territory.

In the latest validation release, the Alien Administration can't go into revolution from all its rampant annexation. This alone makes winning with the Servants MUCH easier because then you don't have to nurse the AA's unrest basically at all.

Presumably the challenge should be the Resistance and HF AIs going for your throat.

Obviously, that's not really much of an issue right now.

Most of the time Resistance and HF sit on their hands when the Aliens land and keep playing petty games instead of ACTING.

As far as I can tell, if the AA uses the robot armies to conquer territory then it will gain 3 unrest no matter what the unrest of the conquered nation was. The reason for this is that the robots will conduct a large number of Abductions in the new territory. Feeding them a good human military is highly useful because then they can take territory without causing a huge amount of unrest.

Its the super easy mode, biggest threat is that some resistant agent shoots one of your agents in the back.
Don´t worry, this doesn´t matter much.
In my play as Servants no other faction managed to get anything into space, it got instantly shoot down by the aliens.
Its just conquering earth, where my biggest threat was chine lead by the institute.
Well at the end I cracked that too, and handed it over to the alien nation.

If AN asks you to join a war, do it. Send your armies. If you conquer for them, there is less unrest in that country.
At the end I controled full EU and Great America Nation, but needed to get the population form china into alien nation to meet the final goal of 65% population controled by aliens.
Africa and South America was under full contorl of aliens, where the most part was just handed over to them by myself and a lot of it was conquered by my armies.

Well I could have given them EU and Amerika aswell and still would have won, but I wanted to be a strong free nation while rest of the world is alien slaves :D

Thats really super easy game as servants :D

So it sounds like the space part of the game is basically nil then. Kind of how I figured it would be.

It probably wouldn't be if the anti-alien AIs were good enough to have a hope of carrying off their own plots, because the aliens would need your help and you would need to stop them trashing your armies with orbital bombardment.

But as things stand...

It's super easy mode. All you have to do is weaken humanity to a point where resistance is no longer feasible because nobody has the means to grind through the tech tree anymore. Infiltrate Russia, nuke the world, you win.

The Aliens do constantly throw little CPs your way, and cause the other factions to hate you.

On the other hand you don't really need any space presence or weapons on ships/bases hanging around where the aliens are.

To my knowledge its the only faction that gets handed free alien alloys, and the AI fails to get any of this because they can't even make a decent ship to kill an alien with. So you get an end game alloy without having to earn it, ez mode.

I should add because they get a large amount, like 300. They can sell that for over 3million credits if the players doesn't plan to build space ships.

Hey, when do the aliens start caring about the servants? Right from the start or only after they declare their goal?
