planner and transfer bug ?
planner announce 17 or 18 mg fleets spend 2 days to go from io to ganymede, then, if you increase the mg capacity, you increase the time spend ( up to 2.20 days at 40mg ) before you start to decrease again the travelling time....
Ok, bad luck, let's send the 38.8mg fleet with 2.2k kps wrong speed, but it can intercept this annoying alien bomber, and then : you can't, you need 42mg to travel to Ganymede... strange... let's try with another fleet : only 20mg : 1.9 day....

Any chance you're switched the check-box for the slider from arrival time to one of the other modes?

can't even acces the check box when i ask to transfer to ganymede, it say this ship can't : he need 42 mg, can't choose to take more time to take off later or anything just "you can't" then i try with another ship docked at the same station ( i don't remove the pause ) 1 day later, the ship can travel to Ganymede ( for nothing, the other ship managed to kill the dread )
And on the transfer planner tool, i setup up the transfer i want then i check the "best speed" ( accel ) to travel faster, and the result was surprising, as if you can't afford the 45mg, the best were 17 and 17.5mg...

Were you trying to transfer to Ganymede orbit, or to intercept the enemy there?

It's clearly a bug in the plotting if it was saying you needed a lot of thrust to transfer to Ganymede at all...though it only reports either a thrust limit or a delta-V limit, and in some cases there might be courses where you have enough delta-V but not enough thrust and alternate courses where you have enough thrust but not enough delta-V.

Intercepts have a less clear definition, so maybe it isn't a bug when it says you have insufficient thrust there.

just transfer to the orbit after the alien fleet arrive to the orbit ( tried to select any ganymede orbit even the differents Lagrange spots all needs more mg for this "fast" ship 42 as i had only 38 ) but the 18mg ship did the job, and after few hours ( maybe 1 day, but before the slower ship arrive ) the fast ship was able to join Ganymede in something like 1,8 day. sadly havent saved there : were usefull to be able to reproduce the bug or not )
intercept are way to complicated, cost too much dV and time : you can't use the fleet for weeks or month after you catch the ennemy fleet ( i end the game with a ship which had to wait 10 years more to only reach his "temporary orbit". I guess his last fight was like 10 years ago : like a lost ship but this one cost MC and upkeep, and if you're unlucky, can immobilize a whole fleet )

the game doesnt allow your ship to go less than max cruising speed, it goes up before going down because the faster path requires loiter time to line up before you can go which actually makes the trip longer, then when you go little faster the extra speed makes up for the wait or the loiter time goes down because you take the longer path faster

but theres definately problems with the calculator, i have a ship in extreme orbit of venus and going from mars earth or mercury to the ship is half the cost of going to the orbit the ship is in (15 vs 40 kps or more)

ive also been told by the planner i need atleast mg x or kps x to make a transfer and when i put that number in the planner get told i need an even higher number...
