Antimatter locations
Hi All,

I'm just starting to build Antimatter Harvesters in the game. I can build one in Jupiter low orbit. But I can't build one in Saturn low orbit.

I'd assumed that gas giants would all provide antimatter. If that isn't the case where do I find out which planets have it?

There is a big problem with anti-matter - the natural AM that can be harvested, its SO LOW, that it would take hundreds of stations, all with AM Harvesters, to gen enough AM to fuel 1 ship. The devs have recognized this, however they also state its a fact that there is a VERY low of naturally occurring AM in our solar system - they vowed to look into it, but dont hold your breathe. BY FAR, the best way to gen AM is with super colliders - its still very expensive to do, but vastly better performing than AM Harvesters. The best spot is to put them around Mercury (only in space, not on the ground which makes zero sense) due to the cheap power needed. Each SuperCollider will gen 0.1 AM per month....the harvesters will give you 1/1000 of that.

i mean they are all on Saturn

Use a supercollider. It's the only way to get enough antimatter to use.

Realistic, but painful.

Several inner Jovian moons have more antimater than the Jupiter orbit itself. And yes, Saturn orbit have no antimater. But look at Mimas...

Venus is a decent enough place for natural harvesting.

Jupiter has the highest attribute (1 lol) in the solar system afaik. Many Tier 3 orbitals loaded with harvesters will provide less than a single Tier 2 atomsmasher (again lol) so its totally not worth it.
I spent the effort of making a few AM harvesting stations - including minmas (0.6% achivement yay...)

it produces some odd 66f or something... and ran it for 3 years. i still don't have enough (200n) to make a ship with an antimatter spiker.

the station is a glorified refueling depot with 880 times the amount of antimatter of Jupiter

and to be completely honest i forgot about the super collider and just thought "well maybe antimatter just isn't implemented yet"

super collider is the way. Spikers on every ship and a steady stream of millions in cash to direct invest every nation to max

Yeah, antimatter isn't hard to get, but the trapping approach is itself a trap.
