Resistance bombarding my bases?
I am playing as Humanity First and have tolerant relations with the Resistance. However, they keep blowing up my bases on mars and the moon. It's 2040 and I very much out tech them, so fighting is not a problem. I have to keep giving them resources to be in tolerance just to have my stuff destroyed. I am not over MC cap or anything. Any advice?

...Why do you think MC cap would be relevant here?

I suggest you kill their fleets any time they go to Mars or Moon interface orbits, and stop giving them resources.

Can you assign a Councilor to capture their ships?

What is your MC in 2040 it seems you hit the point where the AI thinks you are so a head that they need to go all out on you.

If you become too strong all other human factions consider you a threat to their goals.

Wasn't it patched? This is from the 3.21 version changelog:

- added difficulty setting targeting human player and "attack-the-leader" behavior. For the human player, AIs will only gain extra hate if they are the most powerful faction or have announced their win goals AND (this part is new) they are beyond a minimum ideological distance from the human player. That distance varies by difficulty. So on normal HF won't target Resistance player solely because Resistance player is winning (but Servants will). This is a pretty significant mid/late game muzzle for the AI and will get adjusted based on player feedback.

I had the same issue in a sense. Everything was rosy with the resistance (me as HF) and a couple months before I won, the resistance bombed some random moon outpost. Of which I wiped them out… but there was no issues with them beforehand. Small thing, just weird of them targeting me I think.

If the game was started before the patch - then Resistance probably accumulated enough hate before hand. As I understand patch note means that from now on factions with close ideology would not GET more hate because other one is far ahead. And it would work perfectly well for a new game. It is quite common for such complicated games when patch applied to already existing save might mess with something.

That is why I just build layered defense on every base I have. And marine barracks to avoid anyone getting ideas. Not that pricey but helps with peace of mind.

Yeah it was just weird for a similar ideology to be attacking me. Not really much of a problem to deal with. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue

Just thought I would mention MC since I didn't know why it was happening.

The game was likely started before the patch. Thank you for this info
