but hey- at least in this game it's doesn't spawn space orks / transgenants / fungus zombies / or worse yet; "sword of the stars" zuul...
...on the other hand
Well, the key there is "in the area". Do I really care what happens in the area of SE Asia if I only have enough points to control North America, barely? I could just scan/clear the narrow bridge along Central America and prevent anything nasty spreading to areas under my control, and leave the rest of the world to be AI's job.
Roleplay and satisfaction from burning alien stuff notwithstanding, is there any reason to be the world's designated firefighter?
are there practical reasons?
aside from the other post?
oh yes- several ( esp if you're not the servants)- read between the lines on mine.
and - illuminati- think long term not just what you control now; after all - the whole world IS yours, they just don't know it yet you sneaky sneak.
nothing good comes out of letting the aliens do what they want, unless your servants, dont throw them a bone.
Specially if the ship lands on India, China and/or USA. Anything that can make the life harder for the aliens + Alien lovers are good enough for me.
Other flora made by protectorade/servant actions i do wait to growth instead of looking like crazy for it. Luck the resistance org gives +10command so by that time in the game i can have 2 Napalm guys burning everything.
and i hate Vichy-collaborators.
I didn't know they could do that. Doesn't surprise me the sevrant/cult would.
I call that org " xcom" XD , good GRIEF it's handy.
and when you said napalm guys I envisaged a bunch of Sisters of Battle...
" for tha' emporah ".
but yeah, RP personal reasons aside, I was trying to no spoiler that there's practical reasons no to let that get out of control - even if it doesn't spawn space orks, per se.
There's this youtube video of Africa just plastered with xenofungus. And some mega fauna roaming about too from uncontrolled xenofungus. At 8:48 about (others spots too) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ql-Tt01OK4&t
But y'know... if you feel it's a waste of time, free feel to experiment and learn for yourself. Nothing wrong with that at all. It is just a game :)
For me that's pretty useful to let it roam freely. When your armies reach fusion age with bonus damage techs, kaijus are nothing more than targets for drill.
I had this thought when it became clear my agents were the only ones dealing with fuana and Alien bases on earth, and everyone else were having a great time destroying all that hard work I was putting in to unify the Carribbean.
Now I just prioritize fuana near or in my controlled regions, and let the other factions deal with their own problems... although, other factions have long since became utterly useless at combating the Servants, so I'm now busy with coup deta-ing their assets now... I'm just glad I got my faction to become entirely independent of earth now lol.
( is this a bug or a feature? Ayn Rand would NOT approve )
- Utility; you Exodus?
( i have a rant- ranty even for me- about trying to help them get off the dang planet in my run... just Move, beeyat; get outta da way! - but it's partially cos I felt bad for them from the expanse )
...oh wait, that's a different x-com-ish game's terraforming... sorry.
but j/k aside- like my comment#2 up there -
it's NOT totally a joke ...
am I under a false impression that it's a terrrorforming agent?
does that worry no one? - looking at You, AI who refuse to help.
( maybe they just want to play "Last of Us" in person, I ... really, really don't know )
