How can you take control of competitor space asset?
I brought a guy up to the moon with the "control space asset" ability bc I want to wrestle ownership of a hab away from humanity first, I have influence and mission control, but I can't choose the option.

Your councilor need to have a trait allowing him to enter space facilities (fake identify) and the ability to take-over space assets

Okay. Never have ssen this trait. Do I need an org for that or a tech?

Never seen it either, the few times when I tried it was enough for my agent to have the control (not assault) space asset.

But I gave up because the success chances were always very low because for some reason the AI can use planetary missions o space assets like defend interest and public campaign (on which public???) while I was stuck with my pure ability modifier, meaning <10% success chance with full boost.

i just launch a random station into orbit and trade it for a base, the ai is stupid and will trade a fully setup mining base on the moon or mars for an unbuilt station core in orbit

I don't remember the exact name of the perk but it is something like this. Spies often spawn with it, but I had it on a politician once.

Never had a chance to try it, but maybe once you have ships that can dock at stations?

the one time I tried to subvert a station the percentage chance was so low I just researched marines and took it over by force. Guess my persuade just wasn't high enough...

By far the easiest way to seize a space station is with a nice marine boarding ship.

Yup, You can have either an agent with Assault Enemy Space Asset mission. Part of mission set for Commando and I believe Astronaut. Or a boat full of Marines. One thing to note is that you need a free MC for the game to even let you make an attempt at it.

If you destroy modules on the station it makes the take-over mission easier I found.

Same problem!
