How do i unify the European Union and Russia?

Hi, I currently have The European Union (almost all of it) and Russia (as leader of the Eurasian Union, but not yet unified with its allies). I already researched Great Nations, Great Europa and Europe Ascendant, so unification should be possible in theory. Also, Russia and the EU are already allies.

The question is, how do I unify them? The requirements say that they (EU and Russia) have to be in the same Federation, but there isn't an option in Russia's national policy to leave the Eurasian Union.

I want to know how to unify them, and also if I were to unify all of the Eurasian Union, I would like to know how to Unify these 2 mega nations into one, as I have seen people do both.

Click on the EU side to invite them from there. Though you should get all the Eurasia claims first before you merge this monster together.

For me Russia is Eurasia, without other Nation it is just Eurasia and can join the EU.
First unify all of EU and Eurasia then unify both of them.

Another way is to set them as rivals, march all of Russias armies off into middle of nowhere and walk the EU armies into Moscow. Assuming the EU has the claims in Russian territory, that’ll take are of it too.

To "leave" the Eurasian union, you need to get all countries out of the Eurasian union or unify Russia with them. Once Russia is the only country left it the federation will not exist.

Word of warning. Make sure your councillors have high science before unifying giant nations. If you lose them to mind control it's basically impossible to get them back.

make sure they allied in the relationship tab and not rival then invite into federation then unification make sure you conquer all the claim russia have and them unified with EU

You can skip all that business and just declare war on Russia you only need to conquer the capital and it will immediately assimilate Russia if of course you have claims on Moscow. But conquering instead of assimilating gives a huge unrest spike so be ready for that.

You can unify from Russia side too - then you need Warsaw pact -> Russia Forward that gives claims on European capitals, meaning you can put them in Eurasian union and unify.

It's actually a stronger option I think - since you have claims on Central Asia they won't ever break away.

Also you have a bigger option to expand that federation - get Iran into it - Iran's project gives it claims on Azerbaijan and Qatar/Iraq. Then you can form Caliphate, feed all of Arabia and North Africa into it and also get it into the same federation. Next developments of Caliphate let you feed Iran into it, East Africa and a bit of India.

In the end you have 1 billion people in mega-Russia and probably 2 billion in Caliphate. And I think you can in theory fit China's Pan-Asian Combine into same federation because Russia and China will share a claim on Mongolia. But how would you get enough control point for all of that?

Also american union can join the federation too, because of Alaska claim.

You can see what you are mission to unify to bodies in the diplomace screen on mouse over the specific country you want to unify with. You need a claim and many other things to be fulfilled. To get claims you need reseach or win a war.
