Alien lore [Spoilers]
So I'm in 2030 and rushed all the resistance main research I believe I've gotten them all except the salvage objective.

It says in the objective logs that the aliens are attacking earth cause they perceive humanity as a threat in the future so, they're attacking earth in an "primitive" stage even though they probably just hyper accelerated technical progress.

Though I'm confuse the species they call "salamander" invaded them and began xenocide ? So hydra fought back and destroyed these "salamanders" to the point they're either tribalists or loyalists. If I under stood it correctly.

Second of all the species named "Griffin" were destroyed (?) Cause they created an extremely dangerous bioweapon that hydra didn't want to exist? I didn't fully understand.

And a gate? Some sort of worm gate or hyperspace gate?

Anyway I'm interested in the aliens full lore, like when these events occurred how they got so technically advanced and their plans for humanity.

The Salamanders were one of the two species the Hydra subjugated. The Salamanders are shock troopers, according to what i've learned the Hydra were invaded by them. The Salamanders did a lot of damage to their home, but now they've been fully subjugated after a struggle they use them as their ground troops.

The Humanity First research finds that the Hydra live roughly 200 years and are a monogendered species. They have no children until they're about to die. Once they're about to pass on they swap genders and breed. This means they need to make use of the Salamanders as shock troopers due to their relatively low birth rate.

The Griffins are an avian race that were quite pacifist but they have a biological process that can create a potent chemical weapon and after their war with the Salamanders they were terrified of another species attacking them so they subjugated them as well. They use them mainly as pilots since they don't do too well in Earth level atmospheres since their home planet is low gravity.

Now they discovered our planet and they determined our history of usage of chemical warfare was a threat they didn't want to deal with so they've decided to pre-empt anything by invading and going for subjugation. The Academy and the Servants storyline deals with healing their collective consciousness. The Hydra are a gestalt hive, they have seperated conciousness so they aren't a true hive mind but they're close enough to one.

The Salamander invasion deeply scarred them and through the efforts of either the Academy for co-existance or for the Servants which isn't actually at all about serving them. It's more about the Servants wanting to heal their wounds and unify both species together. Each faction seems to have a different piece of the over-arching lore so if you want to know more, you should play with each faction.

Does seem a bit contradictory that they send alien flora at earth as the fauna cause a lot of casualties if the servents want unity.

I'll play the other factions when i get a victory with the resistance trying my hardest to unify earth and try build an defence in space.
