Can you coup a nation under alien control?
I have a nation that is under the control of the xenos with significant unrest, but it wont let me do a coup. Is this b/c its under the control of the aliens or am I missing something. None of my councilor's traits stop them from going to the alien nation.

Hmm, good question.
Its not the alien control, which is the problem here. There was some guy, which had the same problem not long ago. Could not make a coup in an country, which just had a revolution. I guess, as long as the unrest number is quite high, you cannot do coups. But you should still (or better again, because it can be empty again) take over cores.

Edit: i am not completly sure, if it is like that. But it would make sense. A high unrest can result in an coup. So, you cannot make a coup, while the country itsself is having one. You have to wait, until the unrest is lower again.

You can't directly move against the alien administration the same way you could against human control points. However, if it has high unrest, you can use the Increase Unrest task to split off annexed countries the same way as you would with human nations. Beware, the aliens really like to spam the Decrease Unrest task.

When the AA forms the game literally tells you that you can't influence it the same way you can influence human controlled nations (crackdown, purge, coup etc.).

And then the breakaway gets instantly captured by "Servants" who then let the aliens peacefully annex them all over again

So, besides military invasion, how do you kick the xeno out?

Only by doing military invasions.

I once saw the alien admin collapse due to internal unrest. It started in a country with very high unrest and collapsed almost immediately.

I'm not sure if that helps though, because every time I try to force it to happen, my agents increasing unrest can't outrun their agents decreasing unrest.

you need to dog pile unrest onto them, if you have the technology that increases effectiveness of unrest missions Guerrilla Warfare is one then there is probably more. Aliens would have all of the missions unlocked so they will be hitting you with Counter insurgency + more

I suspect the Servants are helping, so that's a lot of agents working to decrease unrest.

Maybe it could work using all 6 agents but not all of my agents had the mission or the stats for it.
