Some events can trigger the storm.
Not sure which one was the cause tho.
There's also everyone cancelling their NAP to me, then set to conflict from tolerance.
Not sure how. But i rectified that back.
I had to scrap a three day run because I had every faction trying their hardest to stop me from building a space fleet. I didn't understand how extremely important marines were, ya see.
I guess you might be right...
I have a crapton of stations, all heavily defended. And my only small fleet is top quality compared to the garbage the AI can get, to the point of winning battles 3 to 1. Not against the aliens, but the Servant for instance. On earth that's the same, nothing can match my armies even the aliens.
This sounds so fudged up, like an anti expansionnist mechanic in PDX games or recently Total Wars. But eyh... Aren't we all in the same boat with diverging objectives ? And it's not as if I attacked them... Not my fault if they lost their own countries against the aliens and I managed to protect mines.
Disappointing. I guess its over for this run, I really don't wanna waste 20 hours fighting 7 factions leagued up against me, having 7 times as many action as I have with no way to diminish theirs or enhance mine. The real problem is not really the 7 factions per se, but the fact you're limited by your councilors, meaning all factions together have an insane advantage.
Still that's manageable, thanks for your answers and cheering me up.
