Yeah I guess if in my case Portugal would just leave, then I'd be able to bring in Germany since they'd no longer be blocked by "countries they can't ally with"?
That's how I'm rebuilding the EU superstate right now, it's a good method without the issues war can have. Western EU inc UK and Iceland are all in, now working through Nordic and eastern EU states before I start adding Turkey, Belarus etc to it.
Then I'll be going to war with Eurasia for fun.
Be sure to disarm their nukes first or your army wont get far lol.
Doublechecked you can't be allied with EU as a nation. Went through the entire thing and EU is not listed at all as something to be allied with.
I've already brought the UK back into the EU (and unified, lol) and this is what I've had to do with every Eastern nation because the AI executive makes them leave the EU before I purge them, just to spite me. So I have to waste a year of cooldown to bring the buggers back in.
