If extinct alien life fails its gone. is this a bug?
If extinct alien life fails its gone. is this a bug? If it is still there it should be findable again with a search mission or? But it is not.

I’m guessing we have a rather terrible translation going on here. If you’re talking about xenofauna. Yes, it’s normal that it disappears after. You need to do a surveillance mission there to find it again.

If you shoot at a Deer and it bolts would you expect to immediately know where it went?

Yes, just immediately backtrack the tracers from the bolter rounds that it's using.
