Can someone explain the different difficulty settings to me ? (Want to play Academy)

Hey,

I am currently thinking to play Academy for the first time but want to know which difficulty to pick. I have figured most mechanics out now after 40 hours of gameplay but want to learn more.

Can somebody please explain to me how the different difficulty settings will play out ? Thank you.

Hi! I actually know some of this! the dfficulty settings affect a bunch of different values:

you get a bonus or malus on councillor actions towards others
you get a bonus or malus on councillor actions against you
it reduces the buildup of alien 'hate' against you
it delays the outbreak of 'total war' for the aliens
the impact of xenoforming is reduced or increased
there's a bonus or malus to ship construction for both human and alien factions

there's probably more but that's it off the top of my head...
