Lower Alien Threat level?

I'm barely in the mid game and my threat level is 3. Aliens already destroyed the International Space Station, thankfully I evacuated everyone onboard.

Any way to reduce threat level so aliens won't send death towards my fledgling space assets?

Just give it time and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on Servants and Protectorate (and Aliens)

Don't kill aliens for a while.... Their anger subdues with time...
Also the more command and control points you are using the angrier they get too so don't go making a huge fleet of ships you have no purpose for, your only provoking your death....

Stop doing things that increase threat level?

I don't know which of those things you're doing:
-Shooting alien stuff.
-Shooting Servants a lot.
-Possibly shooting Protectorate?
-Building really big space presence.

Also be mindful of your MC in use. More space assets you have more concern aliens become. 80 MC in use is pushing it and will prevent the threat level from going down.

Alternatively, embrace the hate, abandon earth orbits for Ceres and Mercury. Dirt cheap space missile suicide boats, produced 4 at a time, can keep you alive out there until at least 2035. Ceres will provide the water for fuel. Mercury gets supercharged x4 powerful solar and makes for very efficient habs.
