How to report crashes and other bugs

Hi everyone!

If you run into crashes or other issues during the EA version, we would very much appreciate you submitting reports so we can fix the issues.

Please send us an email to: [e-mail]

Please include as much of the following as you can provide:
1) Attach your saved game located at: %HOMEPATH%\Documents\My games\TerraInvicta\Saves
2) Attach your Player.log and Player-prev.log located at: %HOMEPATH%\AppData\LocalLow\Pavonis Interactive\TerraInvicta
3) Include a brief description of the issue and any steps a player may need to take to reproduce the issue from the provided save file
4) Let us know the version number of the game where the issue was encountered in the email subject line

We very much appreciate the help. On receiving your report the development team will take a look and do their best to fix!

NOTE: Please update your drivers if you experience crashes and see if it helps. One user had a crash that was fixed when they updated their Nvidia 1060 drivers.

I sent an email to the support team, just reporting my bug here. Anytime I try to initiate space combat in a particular system the game will crash while trying to load the combat screen. Will do further testing to see if this is combat period or if its an issue with just this planetary system.

(Terra Invicta might have broken a part of my computer)
I have been trying a run where I don't interact with anything to see how long it would take for the other sides to win. So all I ended up doing we click agree and hit space to keep everything just running. (reading the bug reports now I realize that might have been a bad idea as apparently events are still happening even when you have the option to continue right away) after about 5 to 7 years in game, the game even my (youtube I had up to pass the time) crashed I loaded everything back up, seemed fine .....same thing happened a few years sooner. I then noticed it was taking a bit of time to catch up on some notifications so started spacing out my confirms and it lasted longer much longer . . . but eventually crashed again. NOW, I'm up to 2043 and trying to load the game crashes, and sometimes just sitting on the front screen crashes. Also if I play any other game, after about 5 mins the frames SLOWLY degrade until I get a weird crash (computer still on but resetting, it's not from overheating) I played game that had a FPS counter on it and I could literally track the decay before everything crashes now.

TL;DR
DON'T do a rapid paced instant agreement run or you might break something important in your computer!

Also if anyone knows how to fix what's going on with my computer, or what part failing might be causing this please let me know I only know a tiny bit about computers but not enough to identify issues like this.

I did have some hunch if TI might be also broke my computer.
The first time my system encountered BSOD in around 40K hours of running time.
Basically the Windows confused because it can't read C:
My windows directory suddenly moved to X:
The C: was completely blank, and my steam library moved to a separate drive.
Which it shouldn't.
The other drive letters also jumbled all over the place.
Cannot rollback, cannot uninstall the previous update, and cannot enter safe mode.
I don't have an exact clue how but it might be connected to the memory leak.
The leak increases the HDD usage since i used my HDD for windows virtual memory.
I don't think i will use SSD for the virtual memory.
There are cases, such events could corrupt a save file, so it might be also corrupt the other files as well.

There is no strong evidence its connection to Terra Invicta, but it happened close to my latest gaming session. And why i think that way because i didn't do anything else, just playing the game before. It probably caused by TI, but no strong evidence. Exactly why i never bring this up before. Just for a study whether if it really connects, i bring it now.

I have zero evidence on my end, but I do share your hunch that SOMEWHERE, there's a memory leak. Either that, or there's simply too much stuff happening late-game for the game engine to deal with. Not even Unity knows how to make the best use of an Intel i9 CPU.

i play with a ryzen 7 3700X + 32Gb ram, have 0 issues in late game , game never go higher than 6Gb RAM

The player log file do write there's a memory leak tho. Not sure how accurate it is.
It is the one we need to send for bug report.

Hello! After the latest patch i´ve run into a bug what slows the gameplay significantly. The problem is after i set all the assignments to all my councilors, the "confirm assignments" button needs very long to activate. Any ide how to fix this?

the game actually crashes my computer it freezes up like my computer is out of ram or storage. Im so confused cause no other games does that

Since the last update, load a save always crash the game. I've a CTD everytime. Impossible to load any save. Anyone has the problem ?

Yeah at this point I have had to restart several campaigns as loading a save that is a few years in is at this point impossible. I have 16gbs of ram so I'm not exactly hardpressed on hardware but I got no idea why it keeps crashing to desktop upon loading saved games

I have the full 256GB of RAM (thanks Battlegroup VR for pushing me that way to be the game's Emperor), so that could explain why *I* am able to power through the game's memory leaks but others can not.
