Some Orgs are only available if you have a control point in a certain country or have an agent from that country.

Yes. For some orgs you need either a CP in the country or an agent from that country. Also some traits give bonus/malus in home country.

Beyond that Councilors have a sort of loyalty attached to their nationality. Non Grata Councilors can't enter regions controlled by a rival of their home nation and Enemy of the State prevents them from being in any region owned by their home country. Beyond that, if you have two Councilors from rival countries they'll occasionally get an event where you have to deal with the national feud causing issues between them.
there's an augmentation that gives like +3 persuasion in their home country which was awesome to get on my chinese agent.

National Hero I belive, yeah that one can be good if your person if from one of the big countries that are otherwise hard to get into.

Though do note that it seems like that trait, and the Government trait are mutally exclusive, for some reason. So that person won't be able to get a certain bunch of the orgs out there.

The game puts traits into groups. Every trait in a group is mutually exclusive with every other trait in that group, so you can only have one trait from that group unless the game decides to break that rule.

I just found this looking through some of the files, I do wish this info was in game somewhere though, be a good thing to know why certain traits aren't available on level up for your characters, or that if you take one, you won't be able to take the others.

It would also be nice if the game indicated which traits are removeable with experience, and which missions are default for a character class.
Yeah now that I know what files to look in I can see that, but it really should be in game.

Also what the hell game, you saying that someone who is a national hero can't ever work for the government? I mean... just because reality seems to indicate this is true, doesn't mean we can't have *some* fantasy in our games. lol
