The game fire is crashing my game!
The game fire is crashing my game!
Good evening everyone, everything okay? I'm playing RDR 2, and I got to a story mode mission that requires setting fire to a tobacco plantation, so far so good, the only problem is that when I set fire to the plantations my game freezes the screen, and the game continues running. , I believe it could be my processor or perhaps video card, I'm not sure, I've already tried lowering the graphics completely to low, to increase the memory of the video card, it didn't help anything, would there be any way for me to ´´remove´´ the graphic image of fire in the game somehow, through a mod or something? Because I really want to finish the game, but it's stopping me from progressing through the missions.

NOTE: Thank you, if anyone can help ! :emofdr:

I had the same crash and fixed it, here is what I said in another thread:

My post from another thread:
I did validation and updated my graphics card drivers that fixed it for me. Mine was a screen freeze at a certain part, no error message just a frozen screen. It was during the mission The Fine Joys of Tobacco, during the part where the objective is to get the horses, happened twice in the exact spot. The very strange part is the validation and graphics card update made an earlier cut scene trigger, that didn't trigger before.

I hadn't played since a whole year, so yeah maybe try updating your graphics card driver if you haven't already. I got version 551.23 for my NVIDIA card.

I think it has something to do with the cutscene with arthur hiding, it will crash if he hides and the camera is the gameplay camera and not the cutscene camera. My guess is this causes the next cuscene to crash the game which is the horse one. Cause once I updated the drivers and the validation, I saw this change and it was very strange to me.

sounds like you did validation so it must of been the updating the graphics drivers that did it.

It does sounds like your problem might be a little different but hope this helps.
