We just use the launcher to log into socialclub and launch the game. Seriously what is the big deal with you cry-babies.

According to steam, only 54.19% of users are running windows 10
Launcher now requires windows 10. upgrade as win 10 is 9 years old itself now!

Feel your pain though as I still have a couple machines with Win 7
Hardly ever fire them up these days though.
A lot of advancements in hardware/software since those days!

Well you havw Win10, 11 and then various Linux distros with Steam + Proton. You can get the Launcher and Rockstar Games working on Linux too.

Been waiting since yesterday for a password reset email from them, sent it again twice again and emailed them directly. It either my change of hardware has upset it or someone has taken over my account. Password used previously doesn't work and neither does the email address clearly, so...

Did you double check the Junk folder?

Yep, every day, every time i sent a request. I finally managed to get help after posting on X, they came back to me and sorted it out. Looks to me like someone hacked my account as the password prompt showed a part previous email address that doesn't in anyway belong to me. All back and working!

Am hoping they will remove their launcher, am snookered from playing, in a weird loop wherein it asks for email and password and then says it does not recognise them, it worked previously, launcher inception....
am having similar issues with EA's launcher, uncle GABE & steam staff please remove all unnecessary launchers they are very broken!

Log into the SocialClub website. Ensure that works.

Launch Steam and then afterwards, the Rockstar Launcher both via Run As Admin.
Set Launcher to Remember Me + Auto
Launch RDR2 from Rockstar Launcher, not Steam.
The launcher will still recognize your Steam Launch Options if you added any there for RDR2.
