I just found out if you decide to pick the lock on the coach from which you pull the guy out during the mission Fatherhood and other dreams - II. you can actually find there a lot of valuables including the naval compass. Idk if this was already known but I found it interesting since the compass is marked as a unique item and it says it belongs to Pearson.
