Yea with an idiot I can't stand. And what fun I'll have... oh wait I'm John and I've been SO busy living this gang life I never learned how to swim. Just the way he talks makes me cringe, and he's a complete idiot. Seriously, Uncle is smarter then he is. Seriously why would Rockstar make us play this idiot. They should have made the gameplay with Arthur longer and what happens after that, seriously just use a cut-scene. They could've summed up the gameplay with John in a lengthy but still somewhat short cut-scene. And to make that actually work for us as players, make it so New Austin is not locked for Arthur.
At least if I just jump over to a fresh play-through of RDR1, at least I can enjoy it. And I don't have to worry about water, swimming, looking all over creation for loot and gold.
Well done boa
Absolutely true. But in the first part (the sequel to the prequel) he was/will be kinda different person and I liked him, probably 'cause I could "form" him through my gameplay in RDR1. And I had to kill a Cougar with a knife, can still remember that one..
John in RDR2 you can mainly watch - how much I wanted to give him some* to learn manners, but there you go, no manners any more, wherever one looks - and John is such a downer.
I am still not convinced, that the story, continuing, plays out with this rotten charakter and his change, but maybe there is some events in between left? RDR 1.5 ?
I wonder...
To OP: yes, my heart stopped, too, reaching the unavoidable. This was quite an experience I never had with any other videogame. I find the story as a whole certainly amazing and the environment just won't let me go, good combination, but very sad in the end.
Still, one can start all over and that's bigger than life - and for me:
I am staying in chapter two now and forever ;-)
