SETTINGS FOR RDR2 AT NIGHT TIME
Hello guys just recently bought the game last sale. May I ask if you guys have suggestion for parts in Graphics settings that needs to be tweak in order to get 60FPS at night time?

FSR2.0 was already set on balances but it couldn't help it. I still get drops at night time compare to day time my FPS on day time was pretty decent the fact I reach 60-70fps.

Your suggestions will be highly appreciated 👌

My Laptop Specs
AMD Ryzen 5600H
RTX 3050Ti 4GB
16GB RAM

Lock the fps to 60, disable fsr, keep fxaa on, msaa off and taa at medium, textures at ultra and everything else at high. That should balance everything and keep it at 60fps at all times at 1080p and 1440p.

FSR2 on a laptop is a must just try to cap fps to 60 set Vulkan and everything on medium except textures where you can try on high.

FSR is pretty glitchy, just try looking through binoculars or a rifle scope and you'll know what I mean. Since OP has RTX GPU, try DLSS but I think 3050 ti should handle native 1080p fine.

I lock mine 144fps is that and should I revert to 60 FPS to get better performance? Oh btw I love setting global and lighting to high it gave a visuals but for some reason only in night time I get lesser FPS and on day time no problem at all

I tried setting it to high but it looks bad

Yeah mate, 3050 ti ain't gonna hit 144fps constant, just lock it to 60 and it'll be way smoother and safer for your laptop too. You can keep lighting and illumination at high, under advanced settings there's something called tree tessellation, turn it off it's a massive impact in forest areas, other than that you can safely keep everything on high.

I tried this but it made the game much worse I'm getting 30Fps now.

May I know your PC specs?

THAT is impossible, my desktop PC is slightly slower than yours, i5 10400f, GTX 1660 ti 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM.

Are you sure you've not turned on resolution scale in advanced setting by accident or something?

As long as it stays above 40-45; you should be fine.

Best bet is turn down the lighting, volumetrics and reflections.

Try using DLSS set to Performance, it's often better then FSR on Quality.

But the game also has an outdated DLSS DLL file; you can download a much newer one; such as 3.5.10 and put that DLL in the game folder to get both better visual quality and FPS when using DLSS.

The bigger issue is that 3050 Ti is barely good enough for RDR2 @ 1080p; and it's only 4GB which really this game needs 5-6 GB of VRAM just for good settings @ 1080p
