Online has its own freedoms and adds its own aspect to play. Free roam missions and all the businesses aspects to boot. The hunting is great and I always have something to do. I can come and go at my own pace and do as I want, when I want. Most of the time, I just log to go for a ride and see what comes my way.
Go on a bear only hunt and bag them all. Crazy hunts; online, I once had three grizzlies down and they were ten feet away from each other. And the legendary animals spawns are abundant.
So, yeah, I like how what online has to offer and adds a different aspect to the game.

You’ll just get harassed by cheaters in public sessions.
Solo sessions are good as spawning works probably too well, animal density is same as single player and loads of random encounters, hideouts/roadblocks etc.
Playing RDO solo is down to the player, starting off as a solo player is kind of rough as you will earn money/gold slower, also playing with other players is one way to learn tips/tricks. You can look online for info aswell.
Cheater density depends on region, some regions have it worse than others and its random whether they decide to mess with you or entire session, they do break sessions when they start spawning lots of stuff, its possible to end up in these sessions where nothing spawns thanks to cheater trash.
Leave Solo online for a while and just play Story.
Look for guides on the Story stuff you can gold. Most stuff is free and you find gold. Online everything costs and its not as full like Story. Villages are full of people you can interact with.
Enjoy being harassed by every single player you meet cause this game is toxic af online. I barely even played 30 minutes of online before I had people calling me slurs due to the race of my character.
Total freedom to enjoy your very own sandbox.
not like they banwave anyway, so its up to you if its worth it.
do you see yourself playing rdo in 1 year? if not, have at it.
