I found and ate all four berries and it still says 3/4, picked and ate each berry more than once, rested a day, saved and reloaded etc, but it still won't progress

eat another red raspberry ? you're probably missing one (believe it or not)

note the results towards challenges is not tracked until the challenge starts

you must restart all effort once the challenge begins

like having to re-catch All fish when the "Catch All Fish" challenge starts

if you can't get past it. then verify ur game files because either your game code or your save file is corrupted - or a mod maybe ?

I don't do mods, tried mods a bit in skyrim and fallout for awhile before but it got boring, I have more fun playing vanilla

I'm willing to bet you're missing either the black berry or Wintergreen Berry. More likely the wintergreen berry.
