Constant crashes
Hi!
I have some serious problems trying to play Red Dead Redemption. I have read AMD cards have problems with this game in particular. When I tried to play it last year on my 2070 super it worked fine...
Any other modern game requiring high graphics works wonders on this card, but not RDR2 :/

My specs:
MSI MOMAHAWK - AMD - B650
AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
G.Skill Flare CL30 - 64GB
AMD RX 6950 XT - Merc 319

My problem is that Red Dead Redemption keeps crashing on me between 10-60 minutes...

I have tried:
- Reinstalling the game
- Verifying game files
- Changed between Vulkan and DirectX12 multiple times
- Deleted setting file and cache
- Lowered settings, removed Ray Tracing and lowered foliage graphics, and such.
- Checked temperatures on CPU(Max:51C)/GPU(Max:69C)

Any other suggestions would be really appreciative.

Thanks! :)

The game crashes my PC and it's been a problem since I first wanted to play a few days ago. SO I have restarted the PC 10-15 times with crashes included

i'm guessing your GPU has adequate Vram.
don't suppose you have an old Nvidia card lying around that you could test.
could be a driver problem you could try reinstalling your drivers for you GPU

It got 16GB VRAM, so should be a high-end card...
I have a few lying around, like a 2060super that I can try.

That's a thing I have not done. The AMD Adrenalin is really bad for some reason...
And everytime I start the game it wants me to "update" the drivers which are 1 year old.

I reinstalled the drivers and now it crashes within 2 min instead of 10-60 min...

I have the exact same issue, first time playing the game can't get through the opening cinematic. I've tried all the fixes listed in here

Do you have OneDrive? I had to turn it off/uninstall it because it kept trying to overwrite my files every time I started the game and caused it to crash. It's also telling you to update because there's a new driver version. It's not a bad thing to be notified of a new software version. You don't have to download it.
