Leaving RDO for good. Banning Myself for my safety.
Have over 1k on RDR2 and still going. Came onto RDO when it first came out and it was like walking into a bunch of kids who forgot to take their medication. Shooting, roping, and you name it. So decided it wasn't my thing.
Then sometime last year returned to RDO and it seemed like it had mellowed out...not! So once again dropped it and kept playing RDR2. Then this banning thing came up and I dropped back in for a few to see what was going on. Was getting ready to leave, was in the camp site when some player dropped by and was speaking in words I couldn't tell you what. Mind you this was in my camp and all of a sudden this player, dressed very nice might ad, was running around with his weapon pointed at my guy...maybe trying to shoot, not sure. Then came a whirl wind and right after my guy stood up and made a mad dash to his horse. Thought I needed distance from the camp site so not to get shot. Turned around and it was back to normal.
RDO could be such a great game if not for those who just want to destroy it for others. Thanks, good night and so long...Back to RDR2.

Normally when one decided to quit RDO, they just leave & don't go making a post to tell everyone that they are leaving, this isn't a Job ( Work Place were one needs to call in to quit ), if one decides to leave then so be it.

Personally i don't see the need to make a post for quitting Unless one is looking for attention i guess. And it's not that i'm trying to be rude but this just looks...........

Not looking for attention. OP just sick of the griefers. I get it and kinda don't. I come from a gaming era when people were made of sterner stuff. We dealt with griefers accordingly and did so with fun and by getting better at it.

Sounds like OP just wants to play care bear in RDO which is totally fine. I just started RDR2, and I find it to be very relaxing. It would blow being in RDO with someone destroying that relaxation. Ya know people get anxiety from this stuff. People find peace in certain games then here comes some jerk off destroying that.

yeah thats normal in Rockstar Online Games. Learned that behaivor since GTA Online. But I got used to it, playing casual and just accept these trolls and kids and in some instances they even stopped killing me since they got bored into killing me, since I basically do not response to them. Ignore most of the time and they might get bored. In any case I never got to serious in the Online version of the games.
Btw I own RDR2 but not on Steam yet just in case you guys wonder why I got no owner handle. Didn't bother to switch until now.

If you watch this Video & Follow it's instructions then you can have a Private Session in RDR2 Online & your friends can join as well as not have to deal with Other players at all :

https://youtu.be/5rYNoGLlINA?si=zuMxuSduV2O6zSGd

With your own Private Online Session there will be no Hackers or Cheaters or even Griefers so you can play the game on your own or with friends that you know or just do stuff alone if you want to.

You can play your own Private Session with out having to deal with cheating or hackers or people that just wan't to pick on you for fun.

Use it or not it's up to you to decide.
