You'll be fine. I have a 2070 Super XC Ultra and by default my settings were already on Ultra. Plays smooth.

No, not really. You'll have to turn down some settings to get a constant 60 fps in all parts. Also don't bother with DLSS, it looks like crap.

Don't know where the 2060 came up. My 1060 runs things pretty smooth. Like glass. Just want that extra thump.

Oh I know. I'm just hoping to not be one of the horror story's. I'm sure it'll be just fine.

Such as???

The only real horror story still on-going is the issues with the RTX 4090.

I've used pretty much all of the RTX 30 and didn't see problems with those. When any GPU is new though it is always bound to take some time to be better then launch. Either via a product refresh or through driver updates. Look how much of a boost many AMD GPUs have gotten years later due to driver updates.

I'm just hoping to not run in to any problems. Just reading threads here and there about one thing or another about problems ppl are having. Not anything that I can think of just asking in general.

i have 3070 - and the game have f*ing microfreezes in Saint Deni and also in random places at all setting(ultra or low)...but i think thats not cuz of GPU(it has microfreezes also in my previous card - gtx 1080):blasbaby:

with optimised settings i get 70 fps in saint louis or whatever the biggest city is called, in plains i get 120 fps easily with a 6600, considering 3070 is much better you'll get very good and playable fps in game, a tip is to reduce volumetric stuff and water quality a lot

Where do you take that from? Ik for a fact yer wrong my friend

Unless you want poor visuals, yes below gtx 1080 is quite poor for good visuals, fps in rdr2 even at 1080p. 2060 is far below a 1080. A 1060 would be a joke really as it's around the same as a 980

That's more then likely a cpu issue or your settings outside of the game. Many people have game mode enabled in Win10/11 and don't realize this needs to be turned off for most games. As MS has that. Plus there could be other factors such as thermal throttle of some sort. Or even the drive you have the game on.

Also need to turn off alot of other stuff in Win10/11. For example turning off data collection for input devices such as Keyboard. And if you use OneDrive or similar app, don't let it auto backup/restore your OS User Documents folder. Adding game library such as Steam folder or Steam Library folder to the exclusion list of Windows Defender helps. Turning off the auto disk defrag helps too.

3070 is great for this game. would recommend to set all settings on a mix of high and ultra + render resolution on 1.5 and TAA on medium or high if you game at 1080p

i have 1050ti and no problems with amd fsr on quality preset, texture quality ultra and everything else middle
I have an RTX 3070 and run the game I believe at the highest possible setting, if not, then very near max settings, on a 1440p monitor and I average 70 FPS. There have been a couple times where the frames have dropped below 60 and into the 40 range, but that's only when near Rhodes with all the dust and foliage, haven't noticed it recently however so I don't know.
