GeForce RTX 3070

I have this in the mail on it's way. Is there anyone that's had any problems with running RDR2 with this video card??

Son runs a 3060 without incident.

Just be sure to DDU wipe everything via Safe Mode.
Then download and install 522.25

It runs decent I get 70-90 frames depending where I am.

I've got the GTX 1060 running right now smooth as glass looking pretty good but seeing I should probably finally upgrade. It's the oldest thing in my yr old tower. 2017.

The game doesn't access GPU directly. It uses APIs like Vulkan and DX12 so any problems one might encounter lie in API layer libraries, GPU drivers, OS and its config (HAGS), system hardware configuration through BIOS setup (ReBAR). If everything works as it's supposed to you are unlikely to have any problems with RDR2 as well as other games.

Right. That's what I'm figuring but there's always a horror story about something about one game or another that something doesn't work for one thing or another.

I have the RTX 3070 TI laptop version and I run RDR2 at 100 FPS to 120 FPS.

RTX 3070 from KFA2 more than 2 Years in RDO and some Problems are only with Drivers. Just try to find best for you and not update it

I'm using rtx 2060 ryzen 5 3600 stock no oc with dlss i can run 2k w/o problem, there are few tweaks that you have to turn down like lighting practical effects reflections water stuff. Rest are on high/very high and some even on ultra game looks amazing. What is important to play around with setting to get desired outcome you want from the game but 3070 shouldn't have problem playing a lot newer tittles w/o problems.

Right. That's what I'm figuring but there's always a horror story about something about one game or another that something doesn't work for one thing or another.

My point is there are too many variables in the mix. You can't predict if your particular GPU will have problems or not on your rig. Other people's horror stories may not apply to you as well as their success stories. Just wait for it and hope for the best.

Oh I know. I'm just hoping to not be one of the horror story's. I'm sure it'll be just fine.

Depends what all you play. A 2060 of any kind wouldn't be good enough for the more demanding games above 1080p

The only real horror story still on-going is the issues with the RTX 4090.

I've used pretty much all of the RTX 30 and didn't see problems with those. When any GPU is new though it is always bound to take some time to be better then launch. Either via a product refresh or through driver updates. Look how much of a boost many AMD GPUs have gotten years later due to driver updates.
