Random events are very lazy.
There is a problem with rdr2 in how the random events in the world feel lazy and repetitive after a while. at first, they’re cool and add some life to the world, but it doesn’t take long to notice you’re seeing the same exact events over and over. like, how many times can you run into the same guy who got bitten by a snake or the same ambush setup by some gang members? it gets old fast. instead of feeling dynamic and immersive, it starts to feel like the game is just recycling the same handful of scenarios, which makes the world feel less alive and more predictable. it’s especially disappointing because the game’s world is so detailed and beautiful, but the lack of variety in these events makes it all feel shallow after a while. it’s like they didn’t bother to come up with enough unique encounters, so you’re stuck with the same ones spammed endlessly. it turns what could’ve been a vibrant, living world into something that feels lazy and boring over time. Also on top of it when you help some guy, they will offer you a free item in the town and it just gets old really fast because they always offer you a free item when you help. It doesn’t make it realistic and makes it look very repetitive, which it is because random events are just badly made.

i also had a lot of repetitive random events. that's the thing with many games, they can't have more variety and rdr2 sure has this issue.

Online is worse. I never seen such lazy written missions and so on. All are pretty much you taking on an insane number of outlaws where you'll most likely die and the only difference between missions is the location... except you start to repeat the locations and you start to remember how ridiculously outnumbered you'll be and the likely chance you will die more than once. The obvious laziness shown Online is a disgrace.
needs random events that aren't just same reused stuff. rdr2 has too much.

online at least has real players, but online is even more generic somehow. random events just don't help in variety

it's just one paragraph where OP describes why random events feel lazy in rdr2 because of repetition.

I met the escaped convict so many times that I forgot you have to talk to him first before breaking the chains. I aimed my gun at the chains as soon as he appeared and he ran away.

he'll spawn again because game has lazy random events.
Random events are there to train, and entertain Newbies. I just ignore them, or open fire on sight.
Omg, Tighty-Whitey. Take your pills, please! So much twink accounts! :lunar2019laughingpig:
unless rockstar creates better random events in their latter games after rdr2, we can't expect those random events to be interesting to people and have longevity.
