Free Black Arabian

I've tried triggering this event for more than 2 days. This even in Saint Denis would not trigger for me. My progress is at 87% as John Marston in Epilogue. I had Black Arabian when I started playing RDR2 2 weeks ago which I launched after year or two since I last played. Unfortunately, I had completely forgotten about the Horse system and during a shootout it died. I don't remember how I got this horse during my last playthrough, either triggering the event or buying. But it died that I am sure. I've read comments on youtube that you could trigger this random event multiple times. Hence began my 2 days trial. But no luck. I even loaded an old save of Arthur Morgan (67% completion) and tried triggering it but still nothing.
Note: My honor on John is full negative because I am basically free roaming and exploring. I tried increasing my honor but only 3 steps because it was taking too long to greet everyone.

Any tips? Also, what is the name of this mission? Does it get recorded in the Story section?
