I'm beyond the Arthur arch. I can't complete the rob 4 shops in one day. I've tried several times. Easiest way I found was stab the shop owner so they don't warn and I don't warn the law with a gunshot. An NPC always comes into the shop and alerts the law. It never fails. I was able to walk past the law in Rhodes when I walked out of the gun shop without a weapon and mask. At this point, the only solution is to start over and try with Arthur. Anyone have suggestions to complete this challenge?

When I did this challenge, I never robbed more than one shop per town. I made sure to start my first robbery when the shop opened for the day and used one of my faster horses to go from town to town. I started with the fence in Van Horn, rode down to Rhodes, then across to Valentine, and finished in Strawberry. If you spread out the robberies like this, you don't have to worry about whether you alert the law because you're running from one state to the next.

being caught by the cops has nothing to do with the challenge you simply have to rob four shops in one day that's it.

go to st denis, it literally has all the shops you need to rob there, rob one, escape the red circle and wait for wanted level to dissolve, then rob another and do the same until you finish it.

getting in trouble by the law always happens when you rob stores regardless, because it is scripted to either have the shopkeeper cry out about it, or someone walks in right after you were done.

as long as you wear your mask and don't get seen by cops, you won't be identified and won't accrue a bounty.

being "wanted" doesnt' mean you got a bounty, it just means they're looking for you, the cops have to actually see you to identify you and give you a bounty.

Both worked. I robbed 2 in Saint Denis before the heat found me, 1 in Rhodes, and 1 in Valentine. I didn't try Van Horn. It was too far away. Stabbing them to prevent law worked in Saint Denis and Valentine, but not Rhodes this time. Thanks for the advice on the locations.

Before entering a shop put on your bandana, pull out a hand gun, enter the store and point the gun to rib the store, go to the next town and pay any bounty you may have from the last town, then repeat.
