Sounds like maybe you are overheating to me, but just a guess...
I3 8100 3.6ghz 4core 4threads
8gb 2444mhz ddr4 single stick ram
Msi rx 570 8gb gpu
Gigabyte h310 mobo
Cooler master 450w 80+ bronze psu
Every other game runs fine but this one causing crashes
This is steam forum, so to clarify, you are monitoring system temps with an app or just guessing? Do you regularly blow out dust and cat fur? Also paying attention to blow out the PSU so it does not overheat and prematurely age?
Is this a pre-made\store bought computer? It reminds me of systems Costco sells. The component choice is rather odd if this is primarily used for gaming, or was custom\home build. How many air flow fans on the case, both input and output? What kind of CPU cooler is present, just the stock Intel cooler (what came in the box with chipset)?
The Msi rx 570 8gb has a recommended "suggested" power supply of 450 W, that is just the GPU and does not include the CPU and other components.
The Gigabyte h310 released 6 years ago, is your PSU also 6 years old? Generally not know but as a PSU ages the power output declines, so what was adequate power before becomes a source of instability, especially for demanding games like RDR2. Always get a PSU with a couple hundred extra Watts output, not the bare minimum.
Using just one RAM stick system running with single channel performance, but must know there are speed gains running dual channel, and is always preferred. The i3 CPU is likely a performance bottleneck for the GPU. These are not the source of instability, just saying if you want to play demanding games with best experience.
I still think you are overheating, but make sure you have solid evidence to the contrary before dismissing. Or the draw on the PSU is too high on game startup, or the PSU is starting to fail. RDR2 is still a very demanding game.
EDIT: you did online search for that error code right?
Hopefully you (and I...) will in the future\next time, because while everything written up there you need to seriously consider if you want to run more demanding games, but really I wasted time with that detailed reply...
