"Ambient NPCS" mod - WORKS, SOLUTION

Clean RDR2 install, not new to modding so very confident followed the simple instructions to install the "Ambient NPCS" mod. Other than the script extender and the basic 'Out of Bounds' mod (no other related boundary mods) I have no other mods installed yet.

Many posts in the mod discussion say it is not working for them as well, on game start everyone is getting FFFFFFF error and game crashes on load, yet earlier posts say the mod was obviously working and was worth installing.

Do any of you have it working? Maybe some insights? I suspect it is one of the supporting apps, maybe the MapEditor or Open All Doors (required supporting mods) may have updated and there is a conflict now?
