Anyone have any luck solving this error?

Largely seems to be network of some kind, tried VPN/Hotspot etc. Same error in RDR/RDR2. All solutions online have been exhausted, might just reinstall windows at this point, but making a post to see if anyone else has ran into this.

I've tried DNS swapping/reinstalling Social Club and anything Rockstar. I can hit endpoints just fine and internal to the launcher logs is just auth errors.

It is quite frankly frustrating to deal with these issues. I have an HTPC and the same issues are present what am I supposed to do? I contacted support and they effectively tried basic troubleshooting, but at this point I need more than that.

I am having same issue too - I thought it was because I didn't have a rockstar account. So I went to the game launcher, created a new Social Club account but when i tried to select the game from there it wanted to switch to the account linked to steam which sent me back to the authenticate issue - interesting i was never prompted to log in to social club.

Ran into the same problem 4 days ago, authentication error and #6000.87, when launching gta 4 or gta5 or rdr2. rockstar tech support can't find a solution yet

Every time I go into the game, I can't access my cloud save, because my rockstar account doesn't connect. Then I need to go into the rockstar folder, delete the social club folder, every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and that doesn't always work.

I am able to play it on my older computer , but not the newer one

RDR2 in Steam has not cloud saving.

Having this problem with the launcher. i reinstalled it, deleted local files and all the other pointless placebo suggestions like with and without a vpn, changing dns etc etc

nothing works and you cant even open a support ticket on their stupid website.

keep pushing on support r* to gift you rdr2 on r* launcher. the issue is about steam. try to play on r* launcher without steam connection.
