Western Moose - Nightmare!!

Hi everyone,
I've decided to come and ask if anyone knows for sure 100% where i can find the Western Moose. I found the Western Bull Moose with no problems at all... but the female Western Moose is a massive problem and she doesn't want to be found lol. I've played for over 7 hours straight trying to find her by following guides online (reddit comes up a lot) but no matter what i do, where i look and where i camp she is not appearing. If anyone can offer any positive guidance i would really appreciate it. Also, i dont know if it matters ( it probably doesn't) but Im playing as John

The way I did it was go to Cairn Lake near Colter and use a bunch of herbivore bait. If it doesn't show up, reload a save and repeat until it does.

On a little hill east of Fort Wallace (directly east of the "Fort Wallace" map marking). Make a save across the railway to the north and ride to the spot. Reload if no moose shows up. I got a second one there while the first one was still rotting on the site.
